I am so excited! I LOVE author visits! When I meet a wonderful author, in person, it's like I'm meeting a rock star! We are fortunate to have Carmen Agra Deedy and Jackie Mims Hopkins coming to our school next month. Ms. Deedy will be here to see our 2nd-5th graders on February 10th and Ms. Hopkins will see our K-2nd graders on February 17th. I have been a long-time fan of both authors and have been sharing their books with our students since we came back from the winter break. Order forms have gone home for Ms. Deedy's books and Ms. Hopkins book order form will go home this week. Autographed books make great gifts!
I need to go now, so I can start making a giant dragon for Ms. Deedy's visit. I can't wait to meet her!
